Orlando Songwriter Workshop

Who we are:

Castle Door Studios is home to the Orlando Songwriter Workshop, a creative space for musicians to get together to gain feedback, collaborate, and grow as songwriters.

Our goal is to support our songwriting community through collaboration, encouragement, and sharing our strengths. We welcome all members interested in these goals, whether you're a beginner or advanced songwriter.

We encourage all Facebook users to join the Orlando Songwriter Workshop Facebook group for the most up-to-date information, event, and community resources.

How it Works:

Anyone is welcome to observe/participate in sessions whether or not you share a song for feedback. We simply require an RSVP due to limited capacity. We encourage positive attitudes and constructive feedback.

Due to limited capacity, all participants must RSVP each month, whether or not you are sharing a song.

Sharing a song:

A limited number of songs can be shared each session to allow adequate time for discussion. Songs are chosen on a first-come first serve basis, so sign-up early. One submission per person.

We encourage live performances of incomplete song for feedback and suggested edits, but we can also accommodate sharing an audio file/backtrack/etc. based on your needs. After each performance, we will have about 10-15 minutes for feedback.

Our COmmunity:

Joining the Facebook group is the best way to stay up-to-date on announcements and connect with other members between sessions. If you are not a Facebook user, we strongly encourage you to attend sessions regularly and use these opportunities to identify potential collaborations and share your expertise.

Health and safety is a priority for us. Feedback from members indicate that an in-person format is essential to foster this creative process. Please do not attend a session if you have any cold or flu-like symptoms or if you may have been exposed to COVID-19. Face masks and physical spacing are encouraged, if you are at high risk of serious illness, are immunocompromised, or live with someone with those conditions.

Please let us know if you have any questions!

Workshops are held on the second Wednesday of each month from 6:30 to 9 pm Eastern.
